Pornhub Insights On Women’s March 2018

Earlier this year women and men across the United States gathered and marched to raise awareness of some of the pressing gender equality issues that affect the lives of millions of people. Women’s Marches were organized in cities across the country and took place on the one-year anniversary of the swearing in of President Donald Trump.

It really makes you wonder what kind of porn all those people like.

With the majority of porn being made for and consumed by men it’s easy to forget that women also love to watch it. An event like the Women’s March is likely to draw a largely female crowd leaving a curious amount of internet porn going unwatched. If only there was a trusted source that regularly monitors this kind of thing. Oh, what.

Never missing an opportunity to help draw attention to a worthy cause, the good people at Pornhub Insights decided to use their analytical skills to show how internet porn traffic changed during the events. After all, nothing empowers and unifies us more than our love of statistics.

During the day of the Women’s March, traffic spiked for women in the United States by 5% in the morning hours before dipping by as much 9% in the afternoon. I guess some people got in the mood to march by beating off, which is honestly how I prepare for a lot of things too.

Men experienced a peak drop of 6% in traffic during the country’s various marches, which is a respectable fluctuation.

One of the larger marches was organized in the nation’s capital. For women in Washington, D.C. we saw a 9% increase in traffic in the hours before the event followed by a whopping 17% decline around noon. According to the data, everyone decided to take a break and check their favorite porn vids resulting in a 10% increase in the late afternoon before they resumed their peaceful protesting.

During the day of the Women’s March searches for feminist related search terms almost tripled. While this might not be the change they were hoping to instill in the world, it’s certainly a start.
