Bill Nye is awesome. Not only does he looks dashing in a bow tie, but he has helped bring science into the lives of everyone whose parents could afford a television and a subscription to cable. There’s no denying the guy knows what he’s talking about and he’s definitely got the gift of science, but if it weren’t for that damn bow tie I don’t think he would be as popular as he is. It’s irresistible.
That said, it’s not like Bill Nye The Science Guy has been starring in my deepest darkest sexual fantasies all these years (or has he?). When I started watching this video where sex is explained in terms of evolution and just what the hell it’s good for, I was afraid my childhood hero would take the fun out of it.
Not so, not so. The guy really is charming and that bow tie, oh boy, that bow tie. Seriously, it’s his comedic timing. I don’t want to spoil it for you, so I won’t repeat what he says at the end, but it’s pretty funny, especially coming from Bill Nye. It’s just not what you would expect the guy to say. It works though, it works. Just like the damn bow tie. More guys should wear those things. I swear, I’m all hot and bothered just thinking about it.
