A Swedish sex shop recently placed an ad searching for “driven and methodical sex toy testers.” The store, Oliva & Eva, was seeking someone passionate about passion to test and review sex toys to assure the quality of the products they offer.

The ad was posted to a Swedish employment service called Arbetsförmedlingen. The listing generated a lot of buzz and after directing a lot of unwanted attention to the employment agency, it was pulled from their website.

The founder of Oliver & Eva, 31-year-old Tobias Ludqvist, said he was “confused and disappointed” by the decision as the ad had been approved by the website before it was posted. Though Arbetsförmedlingen later stated the ad was taken down because some people could have been offended, Ludqvist maintains his listing was respectful and advertised an excellent opportunity.

According to Tobias:

“It’s a perfect extra part-time gig that you can have during the summer. […]We have a diverse range of people using our site. All ages. Couples. Straight, gay and LBGT people…that really shows in the kind of people applying for the post. We have not had any complaints. Everyone who has contacted us just sees all this as a bit of fun.”

At any rate, the ad existed long enough to get the word out and Oliver & Eva hopes everyone with a command over the Swedish language and a penchant for pleasure sends in their application.
