Summer Camp For Adults Is As Awesome As You Think It Is!

Most people who grew up in North America experience something like summer camp. Mine occurred between 6th and 7th grade when I spent two weeks in the mountains with kids from different parts of the city. It was kind of a social program where teenagers of varying socioeconomic backgrounds would interact and hopefully grow up to be more tolerant of each other.

I’m not sure if it worked. All I really remember is spending the day hiking while at night I cried myself to sleep and tried to masturbate without making any noise. It wasn’t something I appreciated at the time, but I do look back of it fondly as an adult.

This is precisely the kind of nostalgia that people like Brittany Gibbons are counting on.

Her “Camp Throwback” in Clarksville, Ohio offers an experience for adults that’s close to the one you might remember from your childhood except for the addition of liquor, late night parties and the chance for romance.

According to Gibbons, guests at Camp Throwback can do all the things they did as a kid. They offer the traditional sports and crafts associated with summer camp, but with the option to take things to the next level. The three day retreat includes nightly parties where campers can mingle, and Gibbons calls it a great chance to meet new people and even hookup for a night of camp lovin’.

Though the camp rules state men and women must sleep in separate cabins, they don’t completely rule out sex between campers. According to Gibbons, it isn’t uncommon “to wake up at 6 a.m. and see who’s doing ‘The Walk’ from the girls’ cabin or the boys’ cabin each morning.”

Hmm!

Guests range from single people to couples and even newlyweds on their honeymoon. A typical event takes place over a weekend and the camp is fully staffed to keep everyone safe and entertained. Though the rules and signs throughout Camp Throwback are mainly designed to resemble childhood camp experiences, there is one rule specifically geared towards adults: “no work talk.”

Camp Throwback is all about getting away from the rigors and stress of adulthood and back to the carefree life of being at summer camp but with the potential for a lot more sex and drinking. What’s not to love about that?
