Sex News: McChicken, Pamela Anderson, & Blac Chyna

I was trying to masturbate in the bath, but my house guest had to interrupt to use the bathroom. Not only did my guess stink up the bathroom, but he had the nerve to criticism me for taking a long shower. I reminded him that I pay the electric bill and he has no business complaining. I went back to masturbating and decided said guest would never receive another invitation to my humble abode.

I mean, COME ON. I could have swallowed one of those offenses, but not when compounded together.

In mid-August 2016, the term “McChicken” (a reference to a chicken sandwich sold by the international fast-food chain McDonald’s in several countries) began topping trending topics lists on social media for what most users initially imagined was a promotional reason.

However, those who clicked on related links did not find news of a McDonald’s coupon, promo deal, or reboot of the sandwich. In a rumor evocative of several long-circulating urban legends about semen in fast food (or other sex-related contamination), the viral hashtag and topic stemmed from a video depicting what appeared to be a man graphically engaged in a sex act with a McChicken sandwich.

The explicit content of the video meant that the McChicken trend soon became sort of online game of Whack-a-Mole, where users of social networks eagerly sought the clip out only to express firm regret they did so:

Where the hell is this video? I want to see it, sort of. Mostly.

But no unexpected union says “the apocalypse is nigh” quite like actress Pamela Anderson and Rabbi Shmuley Boteach’s recently assembled anti-porn task force. The orthodox rabbi and former Baywatch star took their message to the masses on Wednesday with an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal. If there’s ever been a time to email your grandparents and ask them for their WSJ log-in info, this is it.

The odd couple’s anti-porn argument is pegged to the disgraced Anthony Weiner’s most recent sexting scandal. In addition to disqualifying Weiner from any and all future babysitting gigs, the politician’s self-sabotage has made large, far-reaching waves, as illustrated by this surreal op-ed. Boteach and Anderson approach their incendiary subject matter “from our respective positions of rabbi-counselor and former Playboy model and actress.” From these traditionally disparate vantage points, the co-writers have managed to carve out a shared moral code. They write, “We have often warned about pornography’s corrosive effects on a man’s soul and on his ability to function as husband and, by extension, as father. This is a public hazard of unprecedented seriousness given how freely available, anonymously accessible and easily disseminated pornography is nowadays.”

Sigh. Such good intentions, probably, but so misguided.

On the red carpet at the 2015 MTV VMAs, she and her close friend Amber Rose wore coordinated outfits covered in handwritten slurs, the kind of gendered insults you can find all over their social media pages. “Stripper, slut, ho, all these things people portray us as — we wanted to start a movement, because we’re tired of this double standard where a guy can fuck ten bitches and he’s the man,” Chyna says. “A woman does it and she’s a ho, she’s a slut. We wanted to push the barrier,to own it.” She continues, “You can say mean things about me, but it doesn’t matter, we’re still gonna do us … So what if I was a stripper?”

So what indeed. Check out that baby bump, though.
