- Utah proposes bill to make porn a ‘public health crisis,’ claims adult films are more addictive than cocaine (NY Daily News)
The politician told the Daily News that porn was more addictive than powerful drugs, and the public needed to start seeing adult films as a national epidemic.
“I have read books and I have experts tell me pornography is more difficult to overcome than cocaine,” he said.
He compares the public perception of porn to cigarettes in the early 20th century, when doctors and celebrities openly smoked and advertised them as healthy. He said he hopes to shift the public opinion on adult entertainment the same way it has on cigarettes.
Yeah, I don’t think so. I’ve watched porn and I’ve done cocaine and I can definitely tell you that porn is not more addictive than cocaine.
When many in the mainstream public think of escorts, they often think of brothels, madams, and pimps, but the reality is that many escorts work independently. Through review boards such as CAERF, and social media sites like Twitter and Instagram, indie escorts are able to advertise their services and fill their schedules without ever having to join an organization or align themselves under a boss. They are their own managers and they set their own rules, which means they also have to choose their own clients.
Whether it’s the fear of losing money or being in physical danger, the way in which escorts vet and screen their clients to see if they’re actually legit is quite important.
Being able to screen clients before hand is so important, but the legal restrictions placed around prostitution make that difficult, which put a lot of people at danger.
It’s pretty awesome to find out how a variety of people work around that and are able to protect themselves.
I thought about it a while, and eventually, I got an idea. I phoned a company called Bearing Engineering in Emeryville, California. They made ball bearings out of stainless steel. I got two stainless steel ball bearings of different sizes.
I figured I could attach the smaller one to myself while the other ball bearing acts as a weight to put continuous tension on my foreskin. To attach them together, I took some waterproof tape and cut it in half, lengthwise, making it a quarter-inch wide. With this tape, I barrel-tied the balls together. To wear it, I took the smaller ball and placed it on top of my glans. I pulled my foreskin over it, then secured it by taping the skin down between the two balls — tight enough to hold the inner ball in. The outer ball, weighed 7 and a half ounces. It would hang down and put tension on my foreskin.
Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch. That’s all I can think of when I read this, but apparently the process doesn’t hurt.
