Mechanic Fired for Adult Content

News stories like this make my blood boil. Sex workers are perpetually under attack because of the puritanical ideas that our society has about people who are empowered enough to provide pleasure to other people in one way or another. Most people have sex and most people masturbate, so why is it that sex workers are constantly being harassed when they are outed in their day job? It’s completely fucked…and not in a good way.

The latest victim of the old, “People who do sex work on their own time can’t work here,” switcheroo is Kirsten Vaughn. She’s a 24-year-old mechanic from Indiana who was working in a Honda dealership. Some of the guys at her job discovered her OnlyFans page (because they were looking at porno…shocker) and recognized the beauty. They started watching her videos at work, which was obviously completely appropriate and not at all creepy (?!?). When she went to the boss to complain, they fired her for being a distraction.

Know what I say to that? Fuck you, boss man.

I imagine that it’s difficult enough for Kirsten to thrive in a male dominated industry. Constantly needed to overexert yourself to prove your worth and place in the shop had to be fucking exhausting for her. Now that this whole thing has blow her spot up, I’ve got my fingers crossed that she’ll make bank on her adult platforms and save up all her money to open her own shop.

Here’s the tweet that went viral and blew up the dealership’s spot. Honestly? I really hope they get slapped with so many lawsuits that they end up closing their doors.

Kirsten’s twitter feed is honestly fun and lighthearted. She posts some videos of her at work doing things like rebuilding entire air conditioning systems and jumping high as fuck to grab air compressors.

I think it’s sexy as fuck when women work on cars or do things that are otherwise classified as “man” jobs. Fuck all of that. Fuck gender norms and the patriarchy…Let people do whatever kind of work they want to do, especially if they are good at it.

Living separate lives is absolutely difficult at times. At my present day job, no one knows about Alpha Harlot at all…and it has to stay that way or I’ll end up facing the same fate as Kirsten. Is it fucked up? Yes, totally…do I wish I could just live freely without looking over my shoulder all the time? Of course…but it’s the decision that I made after I got discovered a few jobs ago. I’m one of the lucky ones who was able to find different work because my story didn’t blow up. I’ve got my fingers crossed that Kirsten will be able to open up a shop of her own in no time.
