Add “Stoya x Team Rockstar” To Your Book Wishlist Tout De Suite

Spotify has finally figured out that I like the blues, because that’s all they play now in my “Discover Weekly” playlist. It makes for a good playlist, but I liked it when they would play random genres, because that way I could actually discover a song or an artist I might never think to listen to.

How do you Peepz listen to music these days? As a kid it was tapes, as a teenager I graduated to CDs, then of course there was mp3s, iPods, and streaming. Oh and the occasional vinyl. This bugs me because I feel like I’m all over the place. I want to streamline my music collection. Pick a format and really dedicate myself to getting the best out of that specific format, but is that even possible?

They don’t even sell classic iPods anymore. Streaming is fine, but ads suck and I don’t want to listen to music solely out of my computer. It’s not the best quality. Going completely vinyl doesn’t seem practical. Good record players are expensive and record collections can get sort of, well, large.

Are CDs still a thing? What about Pono? Did Neil Young’s digital music player ever take off?

I feel like Stoya would know. I bet she has friends who are audiophiles. I want to be Stoya’s friend. I don’t know if I would make the cut, though. It seems to me she’s only friends with extremely cool people like Molly Crabapple, Clayton Cubitt, and Neil Gaiman.

That’s a girl who has high standards when it comes to her friends and she HATES the people who pay my bills. It’s not exactly a match made in heaven.

It’s okay, I’ll eventually get over it. You can’t always met your heroes. You can, however, buy books filled with pictures of them. You see, Stoya’s long term roommate Steve Prue (a.k.a. Rockstar) is a photographer and over the years he’s been in a prime position to take loads of pictures of Stoya in the privacy of their own home and out and about in the world.

These never before seen Fuji Instax pics can be seen in the picture book Stoya x Team Rockstar for a mere 20 bucks. I recommend you buy one right away, because there’s are only 500 copies. It’s a limited edition, people. Available at Bad Books Ltd.
