There is no denying that Halloween is my favorite fucking holiday ever. I love getting dressed up and transforming myself into a dream. It makes me feel a little less strange when I walk around in fishnets in the daylight hours.
As much as I wish every day was Halloween, the fact that it only comes around once a year makes it so much more special. This year, my wife and I dressed up as a squirrel and a narwhal respectively. We then dressed our 15 year old pugs up as, yes…you guessed it, a squirrel and a narwhal. Our costumes were pretty funny, but it was definitely the dogs that clinched our wins (yes…plural. We take this shit seriously) in the costume contests that we entered.
Does anyone have any use for a year’s supply of chocolate, btw? If it stays in our house we’re going to end up with entirely too many empty wrappers and stomach aches.
While we were out at our annual bar crawl, I noticed a lot of the people dressed in the usual costumes. There was very little creativity surrounding us. For me, that’s the big pull for Halloween. I like to top myself every year and come up with something sexy, exciting and different to become. There are only so many times that you can dress up as Little Red Riding Hood and get away with it, let’s be real.
