What Women Really Want When it Comes to Porn; a YouPorn Survey (YouPorn World)
Of the more than 24,000 women that were surveyed 76% are considered millennial women (18-34 yrs of age), 57% consider themselves “heterosexual” and 32% “bisexual”. The survey results showed that 54% have not spoken to their friends about their porn viewing habits, and 51% would be embarrassed if their friends knew they watched porn. 18% of women watch porn daily, another 63% watch it weekly/a few times a month and 9% more than once a day. So why is it still so taboo for some of us to talk about among friends? According to our numbers 1 in 5 of you have already watched porn that day, or will watch it when you get back from dinner, so don’t be shy to bring it up…you might be surprised by the response.
Another surprising find, was that 51% of respondents think it’s as acceptable for women to watch porn as it is for men. We also found that a whopping 89% of respondents prefer to watch porn alone. Not incredibly surprising since 50% of our respondents are “single”, 27% are “dating” and only about 20% are “married”. The majority of respondents that are in a relationship (68% to be exact) agree that watching porn without their significant other doesn’t feel like cheating, and they wouldn’t be embarrassed if their S.O. found out they watched porn alone. They also agreed that watching it with their partner hasn’t improved their sex life, which is probably why they watch it alone…at least then they can watch content that inspires them.
Whaaaat, only 51% of respondents thinks it’s as acceptable for women to watch porn as it is for dudes?! Nope. Not acceptable. That’s some bullshit. Ugh.

KFC just published its first romance novella — starring none other than Colonel Sanders.
To celebrate Mother’s Day — the chicken chain’s best-selling day of the year — KFC published “Tender Wings of Desire,” a novella following the love affair between Lady Madeline Parker and Colonel Harland Sanders. The book can be downloaded for 99 cents on Amazon (free if you have Kindle Unlimited), and KFC is giving away 100 hardback copies to fans on Facebook.
“The only thing better than being swept away by the deliciousness of our Extra Crispy Chicken is being swept away by Harland Sanders himself,” George Felix, KFC US’s director of advertising, said in a statement. “So this Mother’s Day, the bucket of chicken I get for my wife will come with a side of steamy romance novella. Dinner is taken care of and she’ll have the time to escape her busy schedule.”

This is wrong on so many levels, but the worst is the director of maketing who thinks his wife wants a break from her “wifely” duties with the help of a bucket of fried chicken and a crappy romance novel. No! Just, no!
This obsession ultimately led to my discovery of nunsploitation cinema, an exploitation sub-genre that capitalizes on religious taboos by exploring the darker, erotic side of convent life. Although nunsploitation peaked in the 1970s, it belongs to a much longer legacy of stories spawned from rumours about the mysterious life of nuns. As early as 1353, Giovanni Boccaccio’s The Decameron includes the tale of a handsome young man who pretends to be mute so he can work within the otherwise forbidden walls of a convent. The beautiful cloistered women grow increasingly bold, eventually using the protagonist to explore their carnal curiosity. A more sombre tone permeates later novels like La Religieuse (1796), which focuses on the unwilling imprisonment of young women within strict religious orders and the humiliations they suffer at the hands of superiors. Nunsploitation films were a natural extension of these motifs, combining freer depictions of sex on screen in the 1970s with an enduring, if heteronormative, fascination with the lives and desires of women bereft of men.
I need to start watching movies again.
