I know, I know…That’s a click bait title, but I feel like I have to do a bit of back peddling on something I wrote recently, so I’m looking to make amends.
I write lighthearted, sexy shit for Peeperz, right? My post about Bella Thorn joining OnlyFans made my DMs over on twitter explode with a whole lot of angry people with opinions that are 100% valid. In interviews, Bella said that she was joining the platform to take a stand against the double standards that sex workers face…but in reality, her cash out of a cool $2 million has sex workers up in arms.
Because of Bella’s sudden influx of income, it seems that OnlyFans has made a few changes to their terms of service with no lube and no warning. They’ve capped pay-per-view rates at $50 per photo or video and tips can’t exceed $100.
I’m sure that the changes are going to keep coming in as more celebrities join the site.
I really want to believe that Bella is trying to do the sex industry good. This is definitely one of those situations where she should have researched a whole lot more before she dove in head first and cut off her nose to spite her face. Bella has been interested in sex workers and their stories for awhile, but as a celebrity, she probably should have gone about this a different way.

Honestly, putting her money where her mouth is and donating every cent she made from her OnlyFans experiment to a few sex worker’s charities would do her karma a whole lot of good. I’m still thinking that Bella’s heart may have been in the right place when she decided to join OnlyFans, but she’s got a whole lot of learning to do about the industry of sex work and how the community works.
