Top 6: A-Force Is The All Female Avengers You Need In Your Life!

So many comic books, so little time. In Game of Thrones when Sam makes it to the Citadel and enters the library for the first time, not since Beauty and the Beast have I been so overwhelmed by the sight of so many books. After the awe started to ebb, I got really sad, because there’s no way in hell I’ll ever live long enough to read that many books. THERE ISN’T ENOUGH TIME. There are too many quality sources of entertainment these days what with all the TV shows, the movies, books and graphic novels.

It would be awesome if we could read them all, but we can’t. That’s why we love reviews and recommendations so much, because we can at least narrow the field and try to get our hands on the cream of the crop. That’s why I’m here to tell you that A-Force is the all female Avengers crew you need in your life.

6. Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel is Marvel’s biggest female hero, a feminist icon, and one of Marvel’s mightiest Avengers.

Carol Danvers initially possessed superhuman strength, endurance, stamina, flight, physical durability, a limited precognitive “sixth sense”, and a perfectly amalgamated human/Kree physiology that rendered her resistant to most toxins and poisons.

Oh and she can discharge blasts of energy from her fingertips, what more can you ask for? Right, she’s blonde and has big boobs, so that pretty much covers everything.

5. Dazzler

Dazzler is a weird one. I mean, she’s the disco mutant. Her powers are pretty cool, though.

Dazzler is a mutant with the ability to transduce sonic vibrations which leave her body into various types of light. This ability seems to operate over a great range of frequencies, including the audible spectrum, and a great variation of sound pressure levels regardless of the complexity, dissonance, or randomness of the sound. Sounds as different as a car crash and a symphonic passage both produce convertible incoming acoustic vibrations.

Oh, oh, oh, and she can fly, create holograms, shoot light out of her fingertips and a bunch more crazy things. Plus, her costumes are usually pretty rad.

4. Singularity

 

Singularity used to be a shapeless cosmic entity, but you shouldn’t hold that against her. She’s a little naive and innocent, but holy shit can she cause some damage when she wants to. She can literally hide people inside of herself and transport them to other dimensions? I don’t know, I’m a little fuzzy on how she works like a portal.

3. Nico Minoru

In one incarnation every time Nico bleeds, a powerful staff emerges from her chest, which allows her to bend magic to her will. Yup, you read that right. In A-Force, Nico is the daughter of a female Loki and she’s a witch a really kick ass witch that looks like she should be on Joanna Angel’s pornstar roster.

2. Medusa

Medusa has killer hair, literally. Her long red tresses can do all sorts of wicked things. For one, every strand of her red mane “has greater tensile strength, modulus of elasticity, and shear resistance than an iron wire of the same thickness.” She can control every individual strand on her head… think of the possibilities?! She can snap her hair like a whip, she can lift object or anchor them to the ground, she can even shuffle a deck of cards with her hair if she wants to. Mostly, I really dig it when she completely engulfs someone with her hair and brings them to her.

1. She-Hulk 

Last but not least we’ve got She-Hulk, who’s like the Hulk, but with boobs and better hair. More than being just a female version of the Hulk, She-Hulk retains much more of her personality when she turns, which means that she’s far more intelligent than her male counterpart and she also has much more control over her emotions than Bruce Banner. The angrier she gets, though, the stronger she gets. Not only is she the strongest woman (and some men too) in the Marvel Universe, but she also has superhuman speed, agility, stamina, and damn good reflexes. I mean, if she wasn’t green she’d be the perfect woman.
