Ewwww! Okay, let’s just put aside for a moment the fact that the vast majority of people who wear retainers are still in junior high, which puts a really disturbing image in my head, but… Nope can’t even finish that sentence.
Sorry, I was wrong. It’s not a teeth fixing retainer that was modified to make you better at fellation. It’s a retainer that was created solely for the purpose of making you better at fellatio. That’s a suttle, but important distinction.
Taiwanese artist Kuang-Yi Ku practiced dentistry for a little more than half a decade and as the years went on he became more and more frustrated about the fact that the dentist industry focused only on “three functions for the oral cavity: aesthetics, pronunciation, and mastication.”
What about sex, he asked himself? The mouth is all up in sex’s business and it’s about time that the scientific community took that into consideration. Once Ku made that realisation, it wasn’t long before he decided to do something about it.
Ku started the dentist sexual revolution by creating a costum made retainer with rubber nubs that are supposed to make blow jobs more pleasurable for the receiver. If you’re interested in learning more about the process check out the video below and if you’re in London check out the new exhibit at the Science Gallery London called “Mouthy: Into the Orifice” where you can see The Fellatio Modification Project for yourself.
It’s interesting, but not for me. I don’t think I would like wearing one of those. I hate wearing those plastic teeth protector thingies they make you wear while doing certain sports, because it’s impossible to control your drool and giving a blow job with one of these is bound to be messy and I freakin’ hate excessive drool.
I know messy blow jobs are real popular around here, but it’s just not for me. Drool has always grossed me out.
Apparently, though, this is just the beginning for Ku. With this particular design you can’t see from looking at someone that they love oral sex. In the second part of the project he intends to change the appearance of the mouth so that people will be able to see what your sexual preference is by your appearance.
A good idea in theory, but what is that going to look like exactly?! Everything I’m picturing has a creepy IT clown vibe to the mouth area. Only time will tell. Hopefully, Ku has a less macabre imagination than I do.
