Fallout 4 is the latest installment in Bethesda’s series of post-apocalyptic roleplaying video games. Fallout is one of those experiences with an infinite amount of depth and exploration where it’s easy to lose track of how much time has passed. You sit down after work with every intention of playing for an hour, and suddenly it’s midnight and you forgot to eat dinner or masturbate.
As we’ve seen before, nobody is more interested in how often we consume porn and fondle ourselves than Pornhub Insights. They lose money whenever we aren’t watching internet pornography, which is why their team of attractive and intelligent statisticians is hard at work breaking down how we watch it.
This time they’re taking a look at how video games have affected Pornhub traffic among gamers throughout an average day.
After analyzing the anonymous data collected by Google Analytics, they noticed as much as a 10% drop in traffic among people who play video games since the release of Fallout 4 on November 10th. I guess blasting mutants and stealing their pants is more fun than watching Lisa Ann suck a dick. Hmm!
After compiling their data into convenient graphs, it’s easy to see a drop in traffic between the hours of 5am and 3pm, and again between 6pm and 11pm. While some would suspect the first drop in the morning to occur during work hours, experienced gamers know this isn’t the case.
I have friends who have used up PTO in order to make time for game releases, and some who work from home that play them during conference calls. Hardcore gamers don’t let life get in the way of their video game responsibilities.
What’s interesting is the major spike in traffic after 11pm. Gamers are notorious night owls and after a hard day of resolving work, personal, and zombie apocalypse problems sometimes it’s nice to finish off the day with some five knuckles shuffle.
