Monday Morning Jerk Before Work: I Miss Sasha Grey

The year was 2006, Sasha Grey had just turned 18 years old when she did her first porno scene with the legendary Rocco Siffredi in The Fashionistas 2. During the now famous orgy scene, Grey improvised and asked Rocco to punch her in the stomach, although Grey says the punch was later taken out of context, the act practically made her a legend overnight.

Here was this gorgeous, intellectual, fresh-faced young woman who was willing to do almost anything on screen and had the balls to backup her actions: “A. O. Scott of The New York Times described her pornographic career as “distinguished both by the extremity of what she is willing to do and an unusual degree of intellectual seriousness about doing it.””

In early 2007, the first year Grey was illegible to enter the AVN Awards she won the Best Three Way Sex Scene award and the Best Group Scene award. She was also nominated for the coveted  Best New Starlet award, which she unfortunately lost to Naomi. What were people thinking?!

No matter, the following year Grey went on to win the prestigious AVN Female Performer of the Year award and the rest is freaking history. For the next two years, until her retirement in 2010, Sasha Grey dominated the porn industry. No one had seen a pornstar as popular as Grey since Jenna Jameson had come onto the scene in the early ’90s.

As her star rose, Sasha Grey began to take on mainstream roles in movies and in TV, such as her role in Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience and the HBO hit TV show Entourage. Following her official retirement from porn in 2010 Sasha published a photo book, as well as an erotic novel. These days we don’t hear much about her, but a look at her IMDB page tells me she still getting a few mainstream roles here and there.

God, she’s hot. I understand her wanting to move on in her career and in her life, but thank God for Pornhub, man, where her work can live on for all of eternity. Dammit, I just got dressed and now I have to take my pants of again, because of all this reminiscing.
