DC Comics gets a lot of flack from people. All the “cool” Peepz are all over Marvel’s ass like it’s the holy grail of comic book imprints. True, different imprints have different styles, but DC isn’t all boring goody two shoes Superman comic books, it’s the Justice League, Suicide Squad, Constantine, Watchmen, and Batman, etc. Yes, Batman and all of its offshoot characters is definitely the best thing to come out of DC Comics.
The Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Two-Face, Bane, these are all top-notch villains. Where Batman really kills it, though, is with the ladies. Oh the comic book ladies, they’re badass, they’re hot, they love Bruce, but hate the Bat. It’s such a twisted mess and hella fun to read… and look at.
5. Lady Shiva
Lady Shiva is a martial arts wiz and a killer fighter. She’s an an assassin for hire whose specialty is killing with her hands. What’s not to love?
4. Poison Ivy
Poison Ivy is one of the world’s most dangerous eco-terrorists. She uses plant stuff and weird environmental toxins in her fight against the man. She had the makings of a good person, but unfortunately she’s kind of nuts.
She is a human-plant hybrid and looks damn fine.
3. Harley Quinn
Harley Quinn is another nut job. Her best friend is Poison Ivy and her lover is the Joker, so… you now… she’s a barrel of laughs. Harley Quinn is actually Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, M.D., a psychiatrist who worked at Arkham Asylum where she met the Joker and subsequently went off her rocker.
2. Batgirl
Okay, so Batgirl isn’t a villain per se, but she’s a redheaded and a librarian, which is, you know, just super hot and there is a story line where she becomes Evil Batgirl for a while, so this totally counts.
1. Catwoman
My first introduction to Catwoman was Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns and boy-oh-boy was I ever smitten. She’s wearing a latex catsuit for crying out loud. She’s purrfect and her love-hate relationship with Batman is the stuff dreams are made of.
